I was a student athletic trainer on a two-time state championship winning football team, partnering with coaches, the head trainer and the team physician—I knew then I wanted to be involved in health care. I also learned what it took to be part of a high-performing team. Today, I’ve been at Kaiser Permanente for 15 years, 10 of those directly involved in the partnership. I have always been passionate that the people doing the work are the ones with the best ideas on how to improve it.
